The I Borghi più belli d’Italia association was established in 2002 to preserve the extraordinary cultural, historical, and scenic treasures of Italy’s small villages. It includes over 360 villages, renowned for their beauty, historical significance, and authentic atmosphere. These villages embody the essence of Italian lifestyle and offer visitors an unforgettable experience.

Borghi

Membership in this exclusive association is tied to strict criteria, including architectural quality, cultural traditions, and sustainable tourism. This ensures that the borghi maintain their uniqueness while sharing their charm with the world.
In South Tyrol, five villages are part of this prestigious association: Sterzing, Klausen, Kastelruth, Neumarkt, and Glurns. These locations captivate visitors with their unique atmosphere, medieval architecture, and vibrant traditions, representing the cultural heritage of the region.
