Two people on a bike tour

Weekly program

6x a week full bike experience

May - October 2023

Pure nature, beautiful views and cool trails - three things that make a biking tour exceptional. Together with the Plose Bike School we experience the most beautiful places in South Tyrol on a mountain bike.

What awaits us? We explore epic trails and paths around Brixen on the mountain bike, collect depth meters on the Best of Sellaronda Tour and get to know part of Italian history on the Brenner border ridge Tour. The Stoanamandl Tour is perfect for enduro lovers, while the Best of Trails Special explores the best freeride trails in Brixen and its surroundings. Definitely not to miss is the great food at the mountain huts around Brixen. All this, plus a big smile on your face, awaits you on our guided bike tours!
Your weekly programme (May - October 2023)

The Geisler peaks, rustic mountain huts, your bike and you. The eMountainbike tour in the Villnöss Valley. We start in the village of St. Peter/Pizack, from where we head towards St. Magdalena, the last village in the valley. From there we ride slightly uphill through quiet woods. The Geisler peaks shine through the peaks. Our destination is one of the alpine huts, where we can reward ourselves with something good to eat. The hut is located at the foot of the Geisler mountains- one of the most beautiful places of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. On trails and along panoramic paths we bike back to the starting point.

Thursday | Sellaronda MTB Tour

The Sellaronda is known to many - an absolute must in winter as well as in summer. We have selected the most beautiful trails that this tour has to offer. But to master this route, good physical fitness, agility and experience are indispensable. While the mountain railways take care of most of the ascents, the almost 3,000 metres of descent are quite demanding. Those who opt for this route should at least be able to master S2 trails without any problems and not be afraid of S3 passages. But "it's not only about the trail". Good food is also part of it. We stop at the Friedrich August mountain hut and enjoy specialities of traditional Ladin and Tyrolean cuisine. Their famous “Kaiserschmarren” sweet dish is an absolute insider tip!

  • STS: S2 (with S3 passages); note: advanced mountain bike skills required
  • fitness: 4/5
  • altitude difference (up): 200m

Friday | Peaks & Trails - The 3 Summits Tour

One peak is not enough for us, so let’s climb 3 on this tour! The gondola lifts from Gitschberg and Jochtal do most of the altitude gain for us. After a moderately steep, not too long ascent, we reach the Kleine Gitsch and thus our first summit. A varied mix of technical, flowing and rough trails lead us further to our lunch stop and on to the nearest valley, Vals. Another ride with the gondola lift and a short ascent lead us to our second summit, the Stoanamandl. We take a short breather and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountain landscape. On the third hill, the Alte Karl, we enjoy our third summit moment. It goes back to Brixen on cool trails and a short stretch of forest road.

  • Required equipment: helmet (possibly also full-face), knee and elbow pads; back protector recommended
  • STS: S2; note: advanced mountain bike skills required
  • fitness: 3/5

Note: The ticket for the Gitschberg-Jochtal gondola lift is not included and can be purchased on site for € 40.

Saturday | Plose 360°

The tour that belongs on the bucket list of every mountain biker in Brixen. Shuttle and gondola lift do most of the altitude difference for us. From the Plose, a unique view of the Dolomites mountain giants opens up. They will be the constant companions of our tour. We warm up on flowing trail sections and pedal our first meters. Our destination is the Villnöss Valley, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. There are lots of trails and paths that lead us out of the valley and back to Brixen.

Sunday | Brenner border ridge e-Mountainbike Tour

The Brenner border ridge tour takes us on a fascinating journey through the past, along the old military roads and paths that were built near the main ridge of the Alps between 1938 and 1942. These paths were of crucial importance for the construction and supply of the impressive bunker facilities. They are part of the so-called "Vallo Alpino Littorio" - a defence system built along the Italian border with the German Empire during the Second World War.
This tour is a must for mountain bikers - an adventure with breath-taking views and historical highlights. The e-bike makes the long ascent to the Sandjoch easier for us. There, an unforgettable view opens up of the majestic Tribulaun mountain group that accompanies us on our tour. No wonder that this classic is also part of some Transalp tours.
